Saltwater Charters

Briefing

After arriving at our boat, your Captain/Deckhand (if applicable) will help you board and direct you where to place your things so they are safe for the duration of your trip. Once everyone is together, your Captain will then conduct a briefing going over all safety features to be aware of on the vessel, weather conditions for the day, and a game plan for your fishing adventure with us! At this time, you will need to inform your Captain of ANY health or safety issues or concerns you may have. This is only the only way we can help accommodate you throughout the day and in the event of an emergency.

Great Alaska Adventure 2007 036After finalizing briefing, your Captain and Deckhand will then prepare the boat for departure. At this time, you can make yourself cozy in the cabin and prepare for sightseeing for the next one to two hours while we make our way to a desirable fishing location. During this time, you will embark on some of the world’s most prestigious wildlife viewing and scenic waters. It is common that you’ll see sea otters, porpoise, dolphins, whales, and a variety of birds such as the well- known bald eagle and puffins! Don’t forget your CAMERA!

Let’s Fish!

Upon arrival of the Captain’s fishing location, your Captain/ Deckhand will have all rods and reels geared up with proper bait and weights. At this point, your crew will instruct you on proper use and technique of how to handle the equipment, the proper methods to hook the specie in which you are fishing for, and how to bring them to the surface. Because we are hands-on with all of our fishing trips, you will have the opportunity to hook and reel in your fish every time! Once brought to the surface, your crew will then gaff or net your fish to bring them on board. If you have any questions on the process, technique, or simply new to fishing, our friendly and knowledgable crew will be available to help assist you every step of the way!

Grab your rods and let’s get fishing!

Returning To The Dock

Now that your fishing day is coming to an end, it’s time to head back to the docks for departure! At this time, your crew will gather all fishing gear and remaining bait to prepare for boat return. If you are aboard our larger vessels, you will then have the opportunity to watch your deckhand filet all fish on the way home. If you are aboard our smaller vessels, you will have this opportunity at our facility, once returned. This is the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy the scenic ride home!
Once docked, your crew will then do a goodbye briefing covering fish processing details, give directions if needed, and thank you for choosing us for your Alaskan Fishing Adventure!
