Super sick experience getting close to bears. Had to take a detour to get there since there were rough waters, definitely got a little sea sick, so bring motion sickness tablets and take them hours/night before! Guide was awesome and truly an extraordinary experience.
I am 65 and a beginner hunter. The transporting services provided at a reasonable cost enabled me to have the trip of a lifetime. It provided the access I needed. The boat and conditions were very functional but not fancy. The hunting was phenomenal.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. I went on a transported deer hunt with Ninilchik last week, Nov of 2025. Capt Eric and Jordan were knowledgeable professionals , fantastic cooks , and just dang fun to be around! Wish I could give Ninilchik more than 5 stars. Book with extreme confidence!!
These guys are the best! Not only did we have a blast our fist time Salmon fishing with Andrew on the Kasilof river. But when we had to cut our trip short due to an emergency back home, not only did the ship our fish to us, they packed in a whole lot more than we caught and covered the cost. Captain Joe put us on some nice fish and was really great. It was a beautiful day and couldn't ask for better seas.
My wife and I fished for silvers today with Andrew. He was great. He promptly got us on the water and was able to get us to a preferred spot on the river. As the darkness began to give to light the action was fast and furious. Multiple people limited out early and at one point every rod on the boat went off within a minute - Andrew handled the action and pandemonium with professionalism and expertise. He was superbly knowledgeable and extremely personable. I would %100 recommend a trip and if I ever find myself back up this way I will surely book another trip.

Ninilchik charters is definitely the best way to fish in Alaska. The entire team is dedicated for you to have a great time. I came with my son , and we got a lot of fish! Captain Dave spent all the necessary time in the sea for everyone to get their halibut quota. He knew exactly the right spots! Would highly recommend anyone who wants halibut to look for Captain Dave! We also fished on the Kenai river with Bob. He knew exactly where to fish! We got max out while having a great time! Another highlight, the fly out! Anyone that comes has to try it ! On the front desk you have Libby , she will make sure you are having a great time! Overall Ninilchik Charters is your best option to fish in Alaska!!!
Went on a kenai River sockeye trip with Bob last week. Man did I have the time of my life and absolutely slayed the salmon. It was my first time fishing these techniques and Bob made sure to teach me the proper way which led to great success! Highly recommend!
Captain Jack helped guide us to one of the biggest halibut catches in years! He was very knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend anyone interested in halibut fishing to request Captain Jack
Captain Bob and Ninilchik charters were great. Bob was very pleasant to talk with and he was very accommodating. Bob went way above and beyond for my 8 year old son, keeping close by to ensure his safety and helping him hook and land his first salmon! Next time we are on the Kenai, it will be with Ninilchik Charters.
